What Is a Broker to Do? PDF Print E-mail

Most carriers are honest and take responsibility for any damages done to the car while in their possession. Yet some refuse to do that and try to find a way out from such obligations.

In this case, the broker should intervene, guide the customer, and work with the carrier to resolve the situation. In some instances, the broker may delay paying the carrier until the latter brings viable proof they are going to take care of the damage. In other cases, if the customer decides to run the claim through his own insurance company, the broker may offer to pay the deductible. Claims are typically reviewed by a panel of people and decisions are made on a case by case basis.

These situations are just a few reasons why you should strongly consider hiring a reputable auto transport broker with good references and excellent customer service. Regardless of how much you saved by choosing some cheaper service or company, at this point all your savings will go down the drain, and, even worse, will take with it some more unexpected expenses.
