We are currently looking for an IT person to help us maintain various aspects of our business.

What we need...

We have a local database that was created many years ago. We're in the process of converting to a new web-based technology so we can better serve our clients. The change-over has started, but will take many months before all the dust has settled.

We are looking for a small IT company that understands database and open source technology. Ideally we would like someone in the area because it may require some office visits to fully understand our needs. But much of the work can be done remotely because our server is located at a hosting site outside of our office.

The person we're seeking must support open source software because our entire direction is now built around a content management system. We are using a product called Taskhopper as the foundation for our order processing system so knowledge of that would be needed as well. We don't need a super hacker. We need someone who understands the high-level aspect of what we've described here.

This would be a contract-based position. (We are not looking to hire an employee)

While we love our web-developers, this work is just not what they do. If you should need any graphic design work or internet marketing help, they will always be our first choice.
